Frank A. Cania, M.S.Emp.L., SPHR - President & CEO Minimize

Experienced, passionate, dynamic, knowledgeable, and ethical. These are all words that have been used to describe Frank.

With over 25 years of professional experience, Frank brings a unique business perspective to every client engagement. Having started his professional career as an accountant, he understands the financial impact human resource issues have on the bottom line of your business.

Over his career Frank has held positions in a variety of businesses including Century 21 Franchising Corporation, American Express, and Nortel Networks.  However, no professional position has been more rewarding than his current role as President and CEO of CANIAHR, LLC, the company he founded in 2006.

Frank earned an M.S. in Employment Law from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University and is certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).  Because he believes strongly in the value of HR certification, he regularly conducts workshops specifically designed to assist HR professionals in preparing for the certification exam. He also helps individuals maintain their certification by conducting programs that are approved for continuing education credit.

Frank is a frequent speaker on HR-related topics and has written articles for a variety of publications including Business Strategies Magazine and HR Now, a magazine published by the New York State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (NYSSHRM).  He is a member of SHRM on the national, state, and local levels.  In addition, Frank is currently president of the Genesee Valley Chapter of SHRM, and he holds a seat on the NYS SHRM Council.

Frank’s community involvement includes serving as past president for the Fairport Packers youth cheerleading and football organization, serving as a member of the compensation and human resource committees for the YMCA of Greater Rochester, and a board member of the Monroe County Job Service Employer Committee (JSEC).
